Basics of NSA
Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)
is a combination of low-force Chiropractic techniques that uses the
spinal bones as levers to release tension on the meningies (ligaments
that connect the nerves in the spine to the spinal bones) thereby
decreasing the traction and rotation tensions on the spinal cord itself,
allowing the nervous system to incrase its function closer to its
natural, balanced and optimum state again.
The Basics
"Sick" Care
The
typical approach to our health is to wait until we are sick, then to
ask our doctor to restore our health. This can be costly to both
our pocketbook and long-term health.
"Health" Care
Taking
a proactive approach to our health to maintain, protect and increase
it, thereby avoiding illness, is wiser and will save us time and money,
and will maintain or vitality. Network Spinal Analysis is on the
fore front of getting our nervous system in a condition so it will
protect our health and create a sense of well-being.
Innate Intelligence
We
all have an innate intelligence which animates us and directs our life
and function. It is our core. It enters our body when we're
made and leaves with death. It is our life force. One
communication link between our innate intelligence and our body is the
nervous system.
The Core Philosophy of Chiropractic
The Nervous System: It Regulates Everything
Our
Nervous system - the brain and spinal cord - coordinates and regulates
everything about us: our chemical balance, physical condition, emotional
harmony, and the interaction between our internal world and the world
around us.
The Autonomic Nervous System
Our
Autonomic (automatic) Nervous System regulates our maintenance
functions and organs. It controls our system no matter what we
concentrate on: rest, physical activity, or survival. It is divied
into two parts:
Parasymathetic Nervous System
Our
Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) is most active when we are safe
and at rest. It allows our system to focus on balancing,
digesting, and most importantly, repair and healing. It is less
active when we are going strong physical exertion or when we feel
stress.
Our
Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) increases its function in gradients
depending on the amount of activity. It has a normal range of
function during normal physical activity. Stresses, dangers, or
threats to our survival increase its output proportionately.
Adrenalin is increased, muscles are tightened, blood and nerve impulses
are decreased in the whole abdominal cavity. With severe stress or
danger, our whole system in on high alert.
Stress
In
our society, we face a constant stream of stress, so we live in a
long-term sympathetic response condition. The changes caused by
sympathetic function are important for survival, but high levels over
long periods of time (weeks, months, years) have a negative effect on
our physiology. That
Short Term Benefits of NSA Care:
| • |
Decreased Spinal Cord Tension |
| • |
Turn down the Sympathetic (flight or fight) System |
| • |
Increase the body's attention to repair and healing |
| • |
Increase feelings of peace/sense of well-being |
| • |
Increase ability and depth of relaxation |
| • |
Improvement in current symptoms |
| • |
Increase the body's awareness of problems |
| • |
Increase the individual's sense of awareness |
| • |
Improve communication with one's innate intelligence |
| • |
Foundation for long-term-benefits |
Symathetic Nervous System -or- The Fight or Flight Response
negative effect itself becomes a secondary stress to our System.
One of these changes that becomes a negative effect is that soft
tissues of the body become less flexible. Over time, there is
decreased flexibility of the spinal column. Spinal cord tension is
created. Spinal cord tension decreases nerve function - traction
or rotation on the spinal cord (inside the spinal bones) amounting to
the weight of one dime decreases the nerve function by 60% within 20
minutes.
Long-Term Benefits of NSA Care:
| • |
Short-Term Benefits plus: |
| • |
Increased general health |
| • |
Increase sense of well-being |
| • |
Improved quality of sleep |
| • |
Experience less tension relative to previous tension levels felt from the same or similar stimulus |
| • |
Fewer aches and pains |
| • |
Increased flexibility - therefore, less easily injured |
| • |
Ability to make desired lifestyle changes that have previously been difficult to make and keep |
| • |
More rapid healing when injured |

The Solution in Network Spinal Analysis
Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)
is a combination of low-force Chiropractic techniques that uses the
spinal bones as levers to release tension on the meningies (ligaments
that connect the nerves in the spine to the spinal bones) thereby decreasing the traction and rotation tensions on the spinal cord itself, allowing the nervous system to increase its function closer to its natural, balanced and optimum state again.
Anything
that interferes with nerve function is called a
subluxation. With subluxations, we are not able to function at
full capacity;we have decreased healing capabilities, and there is an interference in or communication with our innate intelligence.
